AWOFINC’s Scholastic Endowment Quest program identi­fies and assists individuals from disadvantaged back­grounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to and complete their postsecondary education.

 

The program publicizes the availability of financial aid and assists participants with the postsecondary application process. Endowment Quest also encourages persons who have not completed education programs at the secondary or postsecondary level to enter or reenter and complete postsecondary education.

 

The goal of the Scholastic Endowment Quest Program is to increase the number of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in and complete their postsecondary education. Our program will provide services to disadvantaged, low-income, potentially first-generation college-bound students attending public schools. 

 

MENTORING IS THE KEY MANY YOUNG PEOPLE NEED THAT EXTRA CONNECTION TO HELP THEM MAKE BETTER DECISIONS AND TO ASSIST WITH THEIR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

 

A Work of Faith Ministries identifies and assists indi­viduals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education and entrepreneurship. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to enroll in postsecondary education immediately after high school if not sooner.

 

The goal of our program is to increase the number of youth who complete high school and enroll in a postsecondary educational program immediately after graduation. We also want to expose younger students to college cam­puses and careers in the STEM field as early as 6th grade to encourage them to take more challenging courses as they continue to progress through the educational system.

 

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines mentor as a trusted counselor or guide. A mentor is usually a more experienced in­dividual, who helps guide the development of another. The mentor’s role is to guide, advise, and support the mentee as they improve their abilities and skills through observation, assess­ment, and modeling. At AWOFINC, our students are able to experiment with creative solutions to prob­lems within a safe and supportive environment.

• Information on student financial assistance

• Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications

• Assistance in preparing for college entrance exams

• Mentoring programs

• Special activities for sixth, seventh, and eighth-graders

• Workshops for the families of participants
